Premium Crops is proud to sponsor the Oilseed Yield Enhancement Network (YEN) - The network is striving to help the whole industry to successfully grow oilseed rape and linseed from start to finish – providing a better outlook for oilseed crops into the future.
Operated by RSK ADAS Ltd the essential idea behind the Yield Enhancement Network (YEN) is that to understand your yields, you should regard your crops as converters of solar into edible energy, and hence must analyse their performance accordingly.
"Our aim is to help farmers know their yields, and work out what is limiting them.
Our approach is to consider the yield potential of the season and compare it to the actual yield achieved. To do this, we look at the development of a given crop, the basic resources (light energy & water) available to that crop, and then its success in capturing these and using them to form grain."
As sponsors, Premium Crops have arranged for the Oilseed YEN to be extended to include both spring and winter sown linseed and growers who join will receive reports and advice specific to linseed.
Membership is open and available to anyone; farmers, agronomists, and researchers.

- Attend workshops with experienced farmers, agronomists and scientists
- Be eligible for the YEN Awards at the annual conference, held in November
As part of your membership, you will receive a comprehensive report on your crop’s performance and constraints to yield to help you improve.

Where entries are supported by a UK based third party, that is not an official YEN Sponsor, Membership is £480 (incl VAT).
For all non-UK entries, Membership is £400.
