"Linseed YEN Lite has been developed with funding from Premium Crops with the aim of giving growers a simplified way to measure and track crop performance year on year.

Nigel Padbury from Premium Crops says by supporting the development of Linseed YEN Lite, the company aims to enable growers to access the same YEN benefits as the oilseed rape equivalent, but more easily and at an affordable cost."

Yield Enhancement Networks (YENs) were launched in 2012 to allow members to share confidential intelligence anonymously (e.g. grain yield or soil health), to see how they compare to others.

Premium Crops began sponsoring OilseedYEN in 2021 and are now delighted to increase the crop-specific support availble to Linseed growers.

"The idea behind Linseed YEN Lite is to give growers a simplified way to measure and track their crop performance throughout the year.

Instead of requiring growers to collect crop and soil samples, this new system will ask users to input soil descriptions and summaries of agronomic decisions taken throughout the year.

ADAS researchers will then supplement this data with weather, agronomy and soil data for the grower’s locality."
